Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where are you?
    We are based in Charlestown, just a few minutes away from Charlestown Square. We are underneath Charlestown Central Leagues Club. If you know Charlestown Leagues Club well, it's near the old gym! If not please put 8 Bula Street in your GPS, this will take you to the club. Drive into the left-hand side of the car park, right down to the bottom and look for our signs and yellow flags. We have plenty of parking available to you.
  • My doctor has given me a referral to see another Physiotherapist; can I still come to your clinic?
    Yes you can, you are entitled to choose your own physio. Let us know your referring doctor and we will let them know that you have commenced treatment with us.
  • Do you have eftpos machine?
    ​Yes we sure do!
  • Do you have Hicaps and how much will my gap payment be?
    Yes we do! Please bring your card with you for fast claims on the spot - so you only pay the gap. The gap payment will depend on your level of cover so please consult your health fund provider for more details.
  • Where can I add my FAQs?
    FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.
  • How and when do I pay for my treatment?
    Private Patients: You will need to settle your bill on the day of your appointment. Payment can be made by cash, credit card and EFTPOS. We have the HICAPS machine for fast health fund claims on the spot so please make sure you bring your Health Fund card with you. ​ EPC: You will not need to pay anything we Bulk Bill! (You must have a Dr Referral) ​ DVA: You will not need to pay anything will invoice the DVA. (You must have a D904 form / Dr Referral) ​ WorkCover patients: You will not need to pay anything we will invoice the insurance company involved. (You must have a certificate of capacity / Dr Referral and your claim details)
  • Do I need a Doctors Referral?
    Private patient: No, if you are a private patient (i.e. paying for the treatment yourself) then you do not need a Doctors Referral. WorkCover, CTP, EPC or DVA patient: Yes, you do need a Doctors Referral. For DVA patients with a white card this must be a D904 form stating your specific injury.
  • What do I need to bring with me?
    Doctors Referral for WorkCover, CTP, EPC and DVA patients. Medical examination results (X-Ray, ultrasound films etc.) if you have any as these may be useful to your physio to speed up your recovery. Your health fund card if applicable Means of paying for your consult – i.e. cash, debit or credit card. Your joggers if you have a back/lower limb injury If you are a WorkCover patient, please have your Certificate of Capacity, Claim Number, employer and WorkCover insurance company details.
  • What should I wear?
    We recommend that you wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing for your treatment. If you have a lower limb or knee injury wear loose fitting shorts or tracksuit bottoms you can roll up. If you exercise or play a sport and have a lower limb or back injury, it would be helpful for your treatment to bring your joggers with you, so we can check they are the best ones for you
  • What if I am running late or need to cancel?
    ​Please call us as soon as you can if you need to cancel an appointment and we can re-schedule another appointment to suit you. If you are running late, please give us a quick ring - we may still be able to get you in.
  • How long will my appointment be?
    Your physio session will be 30-60 minutes long. We say to always leave yourself an hour.
  • Do you offer concession rates?
    Yes we offer $20 off the fees above with a valid Pension, Uni Student or Healthcare Card. (Please note we do not accept Senior Cards)
  • What can I expect from my initial consultation?
    ​We will ask several questions about the injury to get a full history of the problem. We will examine the area in question and may refer you for further medical examinations if needed.
  • Can I get orthotics at your practice?
    Yes, you can. our physios are experienced in custom made orthotics. We also stock the Footlogics brand of ready made Orthotics.
  • How many sessions will I need to recover?
    In your initial consultation we will outline your program and how many sessions we think it will take you to recover. This will also include exercises for you to do at home to aid recovery and prevent further injuries.
